02/24/26 – For sale is a Gewehr 98 made by Danzig in 1915 chambered in 8mm Mauser. The rifle is well aged with patina on the metal. The receiver shows hints of being in the white but has mostly turned a grey/brown. The receiver has bluing but has freckling of oxidation and patina. The stock shows dings and handling marks. The stamps are still present. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but there is a ring of corrosion about 3 inches from the muzzle. The cleaning rod is absent. The rifle is bolt mismatched.
