Description
10/6/23 – This is a nice example of an Eddystone Model 1917 rifle issued to the US military in 1918. It has the proper military acceptance proofs throughout. Eddystone barrel dated 4-18. All Eddystone parts except for the bolt, which is Winchester. The finish rates roughly 50% with obvious thinning and light brown patina throughout. Spotty oxidation on the butt plate. Excellent wood furniture. The bore has good rifling, but there are some areas of pin-pricking and surface oxidation here and there. Comes with a 1944-dated leather sling.
