Description
7/25/23 – This is a Phillips Flintlock Naval Shotgun manufactured in the early 1800’s and issued to the British Navy. It has a 27.5″ barrel, round with an octagonal section over the breach marked with the proper Birmingham proofs and “London”. Receiver is maker marked “Phillips”. The metal shows its age and has an even patina throughout, with no signs of rust or pitting. The stock is cracked on the right side, and is missing some pieces. The wood is otherwise in good shape. The shotgun is smoothbore, dark and dirty as expected from black powder. Comes with original ramrod. Antique, so no licensing required.
