4/20/23 – This is a minty example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in August of 1943. All matching with the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the left side of the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory – a desirable trait for collectors. This one has retained about 97% of its original finish with just very minor thinning on the front strap and very minor wear around the muzzle and on some of the high edges. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with an un-marked magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling for the most part, but there is light freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional. The hold-open does not work properly with this magazine.
