Description
1/31/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. The slide is numbered and matching. It has the proper cross-canon cartouche and “GHD” inspector initials. It comes as a rig with a post-war magazine and a WWI, 1917-dated 1911 holster. The original finish on the gun rates roughly 70% with minor thinning and spotty patina throughout. Some areas of tiny pin-pricking here and there. Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pin-pricking throughout.
