Description
10/16/20 – This is an all Matching, Mauser P.38 made in 1944, with a short 3-1/8″ barrel. Sometimes referenced as the “Gestapo” model, but this is only speculation.Others call it a “baby P.38” ; similar to a “Baby Luger”.Could possibly be a factory variation but as far as I know this has not been proven. So it could also be a post factory alteration.Other unique features are a shortened grip and grip panels. As well as a shortened magazine. A cut line is visible on the grip panels. Finish is about 90 – 95% with typical high edge wear. Magazine is marked “jvd” on the left and “P38/U” on the right,; looks to be a late war Phosphate finish. Bore is nice and rates 8 /10. Fully functional piece.
