5/9/25 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All matching with the proper “Waffen 135” military acceptance proofs. It has retained about 95% of its original finish with just very minor high edge wear, very minor muzzle wear, and a hint of thinning on the front strap. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is an area of pitting at the front right of the slide. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips and comes with a scarce, late-war, “U” marked, “Waffen 135” proofed Mauser magazine. The bore shows light pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
