Description
12/12/24 – This is a very good example of a WW1 German holster. This holster should fit either a Walther Model 4, a Mauser 1914, or a Sauer 1913. The leather on the holster is in very good overall condition and is still pliable and soft, and is a dark brown, pebble grain leather. The holster is maker marked under the flap with “Dittmar,Berlin 1916”, this marking is light, but is still legible. The leather on this holster has normal wear from use, and does have what appears to be a knife mark on the back, but this does not go through. The inside flap does have a name written on it, but it is hard to make out exactly what it is.The leather strap is still pliable and has been lengthened to allow a larger pistol to fit in the holster. The stitching on this holster is intact and strong.
