7/16/24 – This is an original 1943 dated P.38 holster from WW2. The holster is “transitional” as the Germans were switching from the hard-shell style to soft-shell during 1943. This example is in great overall condition with honest use wear. The leather has contoured slightly to the shape of a P.38 pistol and spare magazine, which is a sign of having been used and held a P.38 for some time. The leather has normal pliability and fairly clean interior. The exterior has a few mild scuffs and scratches but no major issues. All original stitching is tight and intact. The back leather is waffen proof stamped, maker stamped, date stamped, and P.38 stamped. The waffen eagle and “joa” maker code are both very faint, but still discernable. Overall a great example with honest use wear.
