5/14/25 -This is a rare USMC Marine Raider Stiletto knife that comes to us directly from the family of the vet that carried it, along with some of his other belongings.The knife features a personalized M6 sheath, and the blade has been refinished so the markings are now gone, but it is likely that this was a Camillus produced example. Camillus produced the USMC Raider’s Stiletto in 1942 and a total of 14,370 knives were made.The hilt is etched with the name ‘C.L. Russo’ and ‘USMC’, and the sheath is etched with ‘S. Sgt. C.L. Russo 5th Amp.Bn. USMC’ on both sides.This grouping comes direct to us from Russo’s son, along with a hand-written and signed letter of provenance that also provides some detail on his father’s service and experience on Roi Namur.His uniform is included, which is also marked with his name.The listing also comes with an addressed envelope, and Russo’s shooting log book.
