10/23/25- For sale is a Hungarian WWI commemorative medal. These medals were issued in the 1930s to recognize Hungarians who had participated in World War One, at that time as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. One side of the medal has the Hungarian coat of arms and the other has a helmet, the years 1914-1918, and the words “Pro Deo Et Patria”, or “For God and Country”. This medal comes on a fixed ribbon, intended for wear on a ribbon bar. There is minor patina on the medal but no damage and the ribbon is in generally good condition with only minor discoloration or fraying. Overall in good condition.
