Serial number 700-08188 dates to 1984, the first year of 77/22 production, giving it added appeal for Ruger rimfire collectors. Early 77/22s are prized for their quality machining, smooth bolt throw, and sturdy all-steel construction paired with a trim sporter stock—an ideal small-game and target rifle that also represents the beginning of this long-running model line.
