Description
6/29/26 – For sale is an 1867 Chassepot bayonet with matched scabbard. The blade has minor patina and wear but no serious damage or chipping. The spine of the blade has the nice cursive etching identifying the maker as St. Etienne and the year as 1867. There is wear and patina on the crossguard and handle but no serious damage or deep scrapes. The scabbard has some wear and patina but retains most of the original finish. Both the scabbard and crossguard and numbered with 27397. Overall in very good condition.
