Description
3/10/25 – This is a mint example of a modern Remington 1858 made by Taylor Firearms. This is an 8″ conversion. It is in mint condition and shows no signs of wear or use. Comes with its original box and owners manual. From their website: “The Remington Conversion in .45LC allows a shooter to switch from .45LC to .44 black powder by removing the breech plate, cartridge cylinder, and replacing them both with a spare black powder cylinder (available as a spare part from Taylor’s A1014005). Along with the original conversion design, these revolvers retain other original features: the forged frames are dovetailed to allow the loading gate assembly to slide into place and a modern ejector rod incorporated into the original black powder loading lever with a small notch cut into the loading lever itself. The revolvers are available with a two-piece walnut grip, octagonal barrel, blued finish, and brass triggerguard.”
