12/4/25 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1901 revolver issued to the US military in 1903. It is all matching and has the proper “RAC” military acceptance proofs on the left side of the frame and on the bottom edge of the right grip panel. It has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, underside of the trigger guard, and top edges of the frame. There is spotty wear and light scratches throughout with some areas of spotty oxidation here and there. The action is smooth. Lock up and timing is good. Original lanyard is intact but slightly stiff. The bore is great with strong rifling.
