Description
9/18/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt US Army Model 1896 Revolver, manufactured in 1900. All matching with the proper military inspector initials. It comes as a rig with 1909-dated Rock Island holster. The gun itself has retained roughly 80-85% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is noticeable splotchy discoloration and spotty patina throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips – bruising on both sides. Most of the bore is near-mint, but there is one small spot of oxidation and minor pitting.
