8/23/24- This is a nice example of a Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1916. It has a post-WWI Springfield barrel. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish Colt bluing. There is wear on the front strap and somewhat spotty wear on the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges and around the muzzle. Some light spotty oxidation on the slide as well. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips and comes with a two-tone magazine with lanyard loop. Mint bore.
