8/8/23 – Original and great condition. Very early Marlin Model 39, lever action rifle chambered in .22 caliber. Four digit serial number and “S” curved pommel of the grip, both indicate early versions.It will accept Short, Long and Long Rifle cartridges, within the integral tube magazine. The octagonal barrel is 23″ long and has nice bore with strong rifling. Original finish on the metal parts shows some normal use wear with minor pin pricking on some areas of the barrel. The wood stock shows signs of use, but still has a nice finish with no cracks. Fully functional.
