10/25/24 -This is an original WW2 Kriegsmarine Officer’s dress dagger with an etched (engraved) blade, scabbard, and original portepee. The dagger blade is maker stamped by Eickhorn on one side, and has crisp etchings on both sides. There’s some very minor surface speckling wear and light scabbard rub wear and surface scratches, but overall the blade is in great condition. No signs of sharpening. The original stopper is still intact, and the hand guard is in great condition with mild surface patina throughout. The handle and pommel show similar signs of aging and surface wear, but there’s no major cracks or chips. The portepee has some fraying and wear along the chord, but the knot is excellent and tight. There’s a mild dent at the base of the scabbard, and dark surface patina throughout, but the scabbard is in good overall condition.
