7/1/26 – For sale is a German canteen shell, without the canvass cover or cork stopper. This canteen is an enameled steel shell with a leather strap around the neck. There are several cracks and missing portions in the enameling, including maybe six large losses of enamel and one long crack. There is a manufacturer stamp on the back, likely indicating 1917 manufacture. Overall in good condition.
