Description
09/24/2024 – For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in October of 1944. The rifle is “parts correct” of when it left the arsenal. The metal has a nice parkerized finish with minor edge wear and scuff marks. The stock is in equally nice condition with minor dings and pressure marks. The bore is bright with great rifling. The Muzzle erosion rates a 2 and throat erosion a 1. The parts list is included in the photos. The drawing number for the receiver is for March of 1944, but the serial number is originally from October of 1944, so we speculate it was a leftover part. A letter is included with the original sales receipt that this rifle was sold through the DCM. (precursor to CMP).
