7/2/26 – For sale is a Kriegsmarine cap cover with a replaced insignia. The cap is made from a navy blue wool with no discoloration or damage on the exterior. The front metallic threaded insignia does not appear original, meaning it was either replaced in the period or is a later reproduction. The inside of the cover is a more roughly woven brown cloth, a simple plain fabric for the inside of a cap cover. There is a stamp on the inside that might indicate manufacture by a firm in occupied Paris and a size 57 designation. Overall in excellent condition.
