1/28/25 – This is a great example of a Chinese TK4A High Altitude Pilots Helmet. This helmet would have been worn by the pilots of the Shenyang J-6 and was designed to survive near space environments. This helmets main sliding visor panel and sliding sun shade are still functional. The Shenyang J-6 is the Chinese copy of the Soviet Mig-19. This helmet includes its original cloth cover for the visor panel, as well as the pilots under cap. The neck seal is still intact on this helmet.Chinese military surplus is very scarce in the United States, making this a rare piece for any collection.
