1/29/25 – This is a great condition, rare first year of production Springfield Armory. M1905 bayonet with a type 2 leather scabbard. 1906 SA blade (rare) with a 1907 scabbard. The scabbard is type 2 meaning it has a long throat. This is a first year production. The blade is in overall great condition, lightly sharpened, with some light oxidation on the blade, and some small dings on the edge. The blade is US and serial numbered on one side, on the other it is dated 1906 with the maker SA, excellent wood grips. The hand guard and pommel have some light wear but no sides of oxidation or pitting. The spine of the grip is marked with an “A.” The Leather scabbard is in nice condition with all of its original components. The leathers stitching is intact and strong. The scabbard is lightly marked “R.I.A. 190- T.C.C..”the last number in the date is no longer legible. The metal components have some light oxidation. All the components swivel as they should and the locking mechanism works properly.
