06/01/26 – For sale is a German Amberg Model 1871 Mauser chambered in 11mm Mauser and made in 1881. The rifle shows heavy aging throughout. The receiver, barrel shank, and rear sight have been heavily buffed and the receiver touched up with cold blue. The bolt and rear sight have been nickel-plated over pitting. The stock has been sanded and there is a 1″ crack behind the tang. The Buttplate is unit marked for 9th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, replacement battlion, 4th Company, weapon 13. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle is bolt-matched. The bolt locking ring screw is not original and has been replaced with a washer. Cleaning rod is absent.
