12/1/25 – For sale is a Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle chambered in .45-70. The rifle is in good condition overall for its age. The metal has lost most of its original finish and has layers of patina and has oxidation freckling throughout. The stock shows signs of being sanded in the past. The left side of the stock is stamped with the inspector and 1893. The bore is fairly bright with strong rifling, but there’s notable oxidation and micropitting about 1-2 inches from the muzzle.
