4/8/24 – This Enfield Mk 1 rifle started life as a .303 caliber Long Lee Enfield, but was refitted in 1905 and designated a Short Lee Enfield Rifle. At a later time, it was then converted again to a .22 rimfire training rifle. All matching and has retained roughly 85% of its finish. Most of the wear is concentrated around the high edges. No major damage to the wood, but it shows obvious signs of wear and use. The bore has pretty good rifling with minor fouling in the grooves.
