Description
7/12/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 manufactured in 1914 with a Remington UMC replacement slide. Springfield barrel marked “B1”. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is also spotty, somewhat scratchy wear along both sides of the slide. Areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. Some tiny dings and handling marks along the left side of the slide. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips. Comes with a period-correct magazine, but the lanyard loop on the bottom is missing. The condition of the bore is poor – worn rifling with pitting throughout.
