7/14/23 – This is a WW1 modified Artillery Luger holster. Originally made in 1915 as an artillery model luger holster, this example was later modified during WW1 for use with a standard Luger P.08 pistol. This was a known practice in Germany to recycle materials and cater to wartime conditions and needs. The holster is in great condition with surface discoloration throughout the exterior leather from age. The leather has normal pliability and holds shape nicely. The interior leather has a strong maker and date stamp, as well as two different ink stamps that are both still clearly visible. The stitching is all period correct, WW1 era stitching and in great condition with no stitching issues. A prime example of a converted Artillery Luger holster.
