Description
3/16/26- For sale is a nice 1917 dated German butcher blade bayonet for the G98 rifle. The large blade is nearly 15 inches long and nicely blued, with only some scabbard wear and no serious damage. One side of the blade is stamped with the Deutsche Maschinenfabrik manufacturer name and the spine is stamped with an imperial crown and 17, indicating year of production. The wooden handles are intact with light wear and no serious damage. The pommel has an imperial proof. The scabbard has some finish wear and patina but no dents or damage. Overall in excellent condition.
