Description
1/7/25 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It comes as a rig with a canvas belt, canvas magazine pouch, 3 two-tone magazines (one has a lanyard loop), and a 1942-dated leather holster. We believe the gun has an old arsenal re-blued finish and some of the small parts appear to be replaced. It has a correct “HP” barrel. There is general high edge wear, some finish loss on the back strap, and some flaking in the finish along the slide. There is a stamped “15” on the right side of the frame. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. Very nice bore with good rifling.
