4/28/25 – This is an original 1918-dated M1 Garand sling. The sling is maker-marked and dated, although only the date remains fully legible. It is in good condition, showing some honest cracking throughout the leather but still fully intact and flexible. The leather remains soft to the touch, with nice stitching visible throughout. The metal components have developed a rich brass color and show some mild verdigris, adding to its authentic character. This is a great piece for collectors looking for a genuine early sling with a classic, field-used appearance.
