Description
6/21/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1919. It is “United States Property” marked and has an “Eagle Head 4” military acceptance proof. Period-correct “HP” barrel. Unfortunately, the slide has been parkerized, and the initials “R.F.M.” are lightly scratched onto the right side. It has retained roughly 75% of its finish. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, but there is also wear around the muzzle and along the high edges of the slide. Fitted with very nice wood grips and comes with a WW2-era “R” marked magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling.
