Description

4/17/25 – This is a nice example of a 1920’s commercial DWM Luger chambered in .30 Luger. All matching and “Crown N” proofed. Tiny, barely-visible import mark on the inside edge of the lanyard loop at the back of the frame. There is a large silver plaque on the right grip that reads “Laukeelan suojeluskuntaosaston kiertopalkinto ampumisessa”, which indicates this gun was the shooting prize of the Laukeela (Finnish) Civil Guard. Laukeela was part of the Urjala Civil Guard. There is a small oval plaque on the left side that reads “KKL” – we assume these are the initials of the winner. Overall, the gun has retained roughly 80-85% of its finish. There is spotty wear, oxidation, and some pitting on the grip straps. Noticeable finish loss on the side plate. Pitting on the side plate and left side of the frame. The bore has good rifling, but there is light freckling in the grooves. The gun comes as a rig with a Finish “SA” marked holster (custom modified belt loops), a cleaning rod, a leather lanyard (it is torn in a couple of places and is repaired with some staples), and a “Crown M” marked Navy magazine.
