4/17/23 – This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger that was originally sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. All matching, no chamber date, proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. It was later reworked and issued to the German police force, as evidenced by the added sear and magazine safeties and the police unit marking “P.B. 72.” on the front strap – it has since been “X’d” out. It also comes with one WW2-era, matching police arsenal-numbered magazine. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its bluing with minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, on the side rails, and on the front strap. Fitted with very nice matching-numbered wood grips – small chip in the upper corner of the left panel. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
