6/16/23 – This gun started its life in 1923, when it was manufactured by Ishapore as an SHTLE III. In 1932, it was converted to a .410 riot shotgun configuration. The conversion to .410 included giving it a smooth bore and securing a wooden block in the magazine well. These shotguns were issued to police units, jail guards & riot police. The gun is mismatched and has RFI markings throughout. The metal parts have retained roughly 75% of their finish. Generally, there is wear around the high edges and around the muzzle. Light brown patina throughout. Excellent wood stock. Excellent, shiny smooth bore.
