9/8/23 – This is a nice example of a Finnish Mosin M28/30 made by Sako and issued to the Finnish Civil Guard in 1934. It has the proper “SKY”, “S in Gear”, and “SA” markings. The gun is has an added receiver number S54552 for the Finnish Civil Guard District Number. There is an import mark on the barrel. The magazine and butt plate are mismatched The metal parts have retained roughly 70% of their finish. There is general thinning throughout, some brown patina on the magazine, and some light scratches, a few dots of oxidation, and some small pits on the receiver. Nice wood stock with only minor dings, but there appears to be a wood repair on the butt stock. Comes with an SKY-marked leather/canvas sling. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
