5/9/25 – Original and excellent example of a Matching German K98 Bayonet. The scabbard and bayonet are matching numbers and the rare “DURKOPP” maker mark is stamped on the blade and back of the scabbard. This bayonet includes a leather frog that is maker and date stamped 1942.The scabbard and the metal parts on the handle of this bayonet still retain most of their original finish. There is some spotty oxidation on the pommel of the bayonet, but no pitting. The waffen stampsare present and easily visible.The blade on this bayonet is in excellent condition with minor scabbard wear and is date stamped on the spine. Both the blade and the scabbard are serial numbered, “8062”.The bakelite scales are in excellent condition as well with no cracks or chips.
