105/23 – This is a very nice example of a Mauser K98 from 1938. This one happens to have a rare “S/243” Mauser maker code. The gun is completely matching with the proper military proofs throughout. The bluing rates about 93%. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of spotty oxidation here and there, most noticeable on the barrel bands, floor plate/trigger group, and on the butt plate. The stock has nice and crisp markings, but there is a significant repaired crack around the wrist. Mint bore.
