9/30/24 – This is a nice example of a Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in January of 1938. It is all matching and comes as a rig with a very nice period-correct leather holster, cleaning rod, and a period-correct but mismatched magazine. The gun has been reblued with essentially no finish loss. There is just some light freckling along the top of the barrel. The wood grips are properly hand-numbered in pencil to match the gun (the numbering is faint). Minty bore. Inside the ammo pouch is as small piece of paper with “Natori” (who we assume to be the GI who captured this gun) and what appears to be his SSN.
