Description
3/13/25 – This is a very nice example of a parts kit from an “ayf 42” code Erma MP40 submachine gun. All numbered parts are matching-numbered with the proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout. The left side of the stock is hand-stamped “ST. MARIE DU MONT FRANCE, JUNE 6TH 1944”, and the left grip panel is stamped “BIG”. This was likely done by the GI who brought it home to commemorate D-Day when this gun was captured. The stock is cracked where it is stamped. It comes with all of the parts photographed. The notable missing parts include the back half of the receiver (behind where the receiver was cut) and the extractor from the bolt. Mint bore.
