7/27/23 – This is an original 1942 dated Luger holster from WW2. This is the last year of Luger production, so 1942 dated holsters tend to be slightly more sought after by collectors. This example has distinct markings on the back leather, “gjh 42” with a waffen military proof stamp and P.08 designation stamp. The leather has mild surface scuffs, wrinkling and a few mild scratches on the exterior. Despite this honest wear, the leather is firm and strong throughout with minimal pliability. The interior leather is clean with some handwriting from a previous owner. The stitching is all original and intact.
