8/13/24 – This is a nice example of a 1942-dated Police Eagle/L marked Mauser banner Luger. All matching except for the sear bar, which is numbered “51” not “15”. We believe that some of the parts have been re-numbered to match. We also believe the Police “Eagle L” marking and “Eagle 655” marking on the right side of the slide were at least reapplied. We can’t be sure if this was ever a police-issued gun. However, it is in the proper serial range for this variation. The bluing on some parts of the gun has been touched up. It rates about 90% with wear and discoloration along the barrel. It comes as a rig with a 1942-dated holster, two matching-numbered police magazines, and an “Eagle 135” marked tool (the marking on the tool is not original). The magazines have been re-numbered and force-matched. The wood grips are matching, but they are not original. Very nice bore.
