Description
5/10/23 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Model 1903 issued to the US military in 1942. The barrel is Remington-marked and dated February of 1942. No visible markings on the stock except for a carved “W” on the very front under the barrel. The gun comes with a green canvas sling and a flaming bomb-proofed front sight hood. This is an arsenal-refurbished example, so the finish is excellent. Virtually no actual finish loss. The wood stock is excellent for the most part, but there are some small bruises here and there. A couple of small gouges around the safety lever. There is also a repaired hairline crack in the upper handguard. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking in the grooves.
