6/19/23 – This is a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver dates to about April of 1942. The barrel is Springfield-marked and dated December of 1943. The wood stock and safety lever have been replaced. The gun comes with a pouch that contains a cleaning kit. There is very little actual finish loss on the metal parts. However, there is noticeable spotty oxidation and areas of pin-pricking throughout. Pitting around the muzzle. There are also some areas of surface rust, most noticeable on the sling swivels and around the trigger guard. The bore has spotty surface oxidation and pitting throughout. Muzzle reading: 0. Throat reading: 0.
