Description
9/8/23 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about July of 1942. Springfield barrel dated May of 1946. The stock is an un-marked replacement. The metal parts have retained about 96% of their finish with some minor wear around the muzzle and some light scuffing along the barrel. Some spotty oxidation along the gas tube, visible on the underside of the stock. Excellent wood furniture. The bore has pretty good rifling with some light surface oxidation in the grooves. Muzzle reading: 10. Throat reading: 5.
