Description
7/24/23 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about September of 1942. The barrel is marked Springfield and dated January of 1944. The breech bolt and floor plate are Winchester-marked. The stock has no markings, either sanded or replaced. The metal parts have retained about 92% of their finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle, some thinning along the gas tube, and splotchy discoloration on the floor plate. Excellent wood furniture with some very minor bruising on the stock. Near-mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 2.
