6/3/26 – Here for sale, we have a 1911a1 that was originally manufactured in 1943. The gun has a Colt manufactured slide an Ithaca manufactured slide, and a High Standard barrel (correct for an Ithaca). The frame is WB inspector proofed, has the crossed-cannon cartouche, and does not have any rearsenal stamps. The finish rates at about 85-90%. There is general high edge wear, finish loss on the left side of the slide, and thinning on the grip straps. The brown plastic grips are in excellent condition without any cracks or breaks. The bore has nice rifling but there is frosting throughout.
