Description
7/24/23 – This is a nice example of an Enfield No 4 Mk 1 made by Fazakerley in 1943. The bolt is mismatched, and the magazine is missing. The front barrel band was made by Savage. The receiver is marked “FTR” for Factory Thorough Repair. The metal parts have retained roughly 60% of their finish. There is general high edge wear, but the majority of the finish loss is towards the muzzle. The wood furniture shows obvious scratching and bruising throughout, and the upper handguards have been lightly sanded. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting throughout. Comes with an excellent reproduction leather sling.
