4/11/24 – This is a nice example of a “bcd 43” K98 made by Gustloff Werke and issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The barrel bands, wood stock, and handguard are mismatched, the rest is matching. The metal parts have lost nearly all of their finish with obvious spotty oxidation throughout. The wood stock is very nice with no major damage and average signs of wear. Waffen proofs around the wrist and on the right side of the butt stock. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. Comes with a period-correct sling.
